We are teaming up with Friends of Badger Mountain again this year, but tackling restoring a new space! Friends of Badger Mountain has been working hard at developing a new trail on Badger Mountain this last year and it looks amazing! Some plants were harmed in the making of the trail so they want to restore the area before anything invasive gets in. We will be doing this a little differently this year than years past, due to the small area we will be working in, and the fragility of the soil (very sandy). We will be planting over the course of two days, and will have to cap the number of volunteers per day. So if you are interested in joining, please sign up early!

When: Saturday November 21st 12-4 PM and Sunday November 22nd 12-4 PM

Where: We will meet at Badger Mountain Trailhead Park (525 Queensgate Dr, Richland) and then head over together to the new planting area. Carpooling encouraged!

What to bring: Gardening gloves, shovel or other digging tools, water, a snack! And please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and conditions, as well as closed toed shoes. Weather can be unpredictable this time of year. Sometimes it is nice and sunny and others windy and rainy. Wind, rain or shine we will be planting!

What to expect: This is a family-friendly event that is open to all ages! This does require some hiking this year. We typically break up into teams of 3-4 people depending on the number of volunteers, this offers the opportunity for something for everyone! You can help do the actual planting, or watering, or digging.
