Partner Field Trip — Saddle Mountain area of the Hanford National Monument
Friends of Mid Columbia River Wildlife Refuges Board member and native plant expert Ernie Crediford will lead a wildflower hike/trip to the Saddle Mtn area of the Hanford National Monument. We will meet at 9:00am at the Park and Ride on the corner of Van Giesen and the Bypass highway 240. From there we can carpool where possible.
The trip will take approx. 4-5 hours, bring lunch, snacks and water. Dress for the weather. This trip will celebrate the memory of Board Member Teri Knoke, whose ashes were distributed in seed balls on Saddle Mountain, where she could live on in her beloved wildflower habitat. We will travel up road toward the highest point in the Saddle Mountain, Wahatis Peak There should be lots of shooting stars, bluebells and everything in between in bloom!
