Breaking Dormancy - Inspired by the Shrub Steppe

  • Richland Public Library 955 Northgate Drive Richland, WA, 99352 United States (map)

Join the Columbia Basin WA Native Plant Society for our February in person gathering.   Let’s connect and share how our local landscape inspires us!  The event will include open discussion revolving around native flora and opportunities to create art inspired by our local shrub steppe ecosystem.  CBWNPS Field Trip Chair Cristen will provide prompts and inspiration to help get the shrub-steppe creative juices flowing. This meeting is meant to draw inspiration from our unique ecoregion - the Shrub Steppe - we'd love for you to consider the following question: Which plant native to our area is one you most admire and why? We'll get this gathering started by inviting people to share their answers.  We can hardly wait to hear what everyone comes up with!   All botanical skill levels welcomed and encouraged!

Where: Richland Public Library - Doris Roberts Gallery (955 Northgate Dr, Richland, WA 99352)

When:  Wednesday February 4th 6:30-8 PM

What to bring:  Optional – art supplies, journal, works in progress, etc. If you like, we invite you to share any art you’ve made or bring along works in progress inspired by our local landscapes.

If you want to share what you created during this event, we also welcome you to submit it to our Columbia Basin Chapter newsletter!
