Camping and Planting Natives at the Plymouth Park Campground
The camp host at Plymouth Park Campground Candy Harris would like to invite you for a weekend of free camping, October 16 to 18. We’ll be learning, socializing, planting saplings, native plants, spreading mulch and hunting invasive species. She is setting up a bio blitz on iNaturalist for us.
Friday will open the weekend with a campfire and meet and greet. Saturday morning over coffee there will be ranger talks, plant society information, and a safety briefing. Then Saturday afternoon we’ll do some hands on work to put the campground to bed for the winter. Chili and cornbread will be provided. Sunday is wheels up. There is room for 30 RV’s and about 100 tents.
For more information, what to bring, email candytravels10@gmail.com or call 619-204-3579 and leave a message to get your reservation. If you can’t come for the weekend but would like to help Saturday please let us know so we’ll have a good headcount.
