Tuesday July 8th — Rainwater Natural Reserve Tour Lindsay Chiono - Wildlife Habitat Ecologist with Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.
Study success of continuing restoration efforts by Confederated Tribes above the South Fork of the Touchet on Robinette Mountain. We will survey the controlled burn area and its changes from last fall.
Meeting Point: Meet at 9 AM at Harper Joy Theatre Parking Lot (41 South Park Street Walla Walla, WA 99362). From their, we’ll carpool to the trailhead.
All Walla Walla trips will begin at Harper Joy Theater Parking lot on Whitman Campus at 9 AM for carpooling. Wear suitable shoes and long pants, sticks as needed, hats, water, tick spray and snacks/lunch. Return times can vary but plan on returning by 3 or 4 PM unless otherwise noted. Our pace is leisurely with time for identifications and photos.
