Sunday May 4th 1-3 PM  – Conservation Community Meet Up 

Let’s gather together with aligned organizations to talk about how our collective conservation efforts can work symbiotically to achieve our stewardship goals in Benton and Franklin Counties. We’ll brainstorm how we can work together to achieve conservation goals – What programs,  services or technical advice local conservation orgs would benefit from – How our conservation efforts impact quality of life in our area– Success stories and setbacks in implementing conservation locally, and where potential partnerships lie. 

What:  Conservation Community Meet Up Facilitated by Benton + Franklin Conservation Districts

When:  Sunday May 4th– 1 pm to 3 pm 

Where: Kennewick Highlands Grange Park Picnic Shelter & Waterfall Classroom (near the Kennewick Library and Master Gardeners’ Demonstration Garden 1620 S Union St, Kennewick, WA 99338)

What to Bring –  A camp chair and a snack or treat to share. Zero waste is our goal!  Please BYO cup and silverware

Bonus-  The Master Gardeners Heritage Garden’s will be in full bloom– come see an established native garden in all its spring splendor!  We hope you can join us! 

The Franklin Conservation District was awarded a DOE Improving Air Quality in Overburdened Communities grant to boost air quality efforts by creating and implementing programming in Benton & Franklin Counties. Benton Conservation District has partnered with FCD to work together to create programs that directly support conservation efforts in our community.

The development of Conservation District programs with air quality benefits is supported by the Department of Ecology with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov
