Saturday May 17th 10:30 AM -12:30 PM Heritage Garden Spring Workshop- DIY Native Garden Design
Join the Heritage Garden Program for a workshop on how to design and implement a native, drought tolerant garden! We’ll cover how to evaluate your site, finding the right plant for the right place, and how to create a garden with year round color and interest. We’ll also provide an overview of what it takes to create a certifiable Heritage Garden! Weather permitting, we’ll also take a short tour of the established Heritage Gardens in the Master Gardeners demonstration garden. Participants will use their newfound knowledge to design their own Heritage Garden planting pattern suitable for their space.
Where: Kennewick Branch of the Mid Columbia Libraries (1620 S. Union St Kennewick, WA 99338) Large conference room.
What to bring: An idea of a spot in your yard/space you’d like to create a planting pattern for.
If you can, please RSVP so we have an idea of how many to expect.
