Wildflower Walk: Upper Lick Creek Trail from ZigZag Trailhead

Begin by exploring south-facing breaks high above Umatilla River before walking the shady portion of Lick Creek Trail past Springs to Junction. 4,400’

Turn on McDougall Road 14 miles up Weston-Elgin RD  (HWY204). Drive to the trailhead on the rim above Umatilla River. Fabulous views. Explore south-facing breaks before walking shady portion to Springs and beyond to junction with lower Lick Creek Trail. Bring layers, sturdy footwear, hat, walking stick, water, and snacks.
