Wildflower Walk: Rainwater Wildlife Area

Wednesday, June 13, 10am.  Rainwater Wildlife Area on Robinette Mountain. Leader: Howard Buehler (howard@daytonwa.net). [Walla Walla 10am, Dayton 11am] The 8700 acre Rainwater Wildlife Area is within the aboriginal homeland of the Confederated Tribes. Restoration efforts have been in effect since 1998.

Meet on Whitman Campus in Walla Walla at Harper Joy Theater parking lot. Trips out of Dayton will meet at railroad ‘Depot’ in Dayton 50 minutes after Walla Walla time. Carpooling arrangements will be made at meeting places and times.  Return time is usually late afternoon. Bring walking stick, tick repellant, hat, lunch, water and a few dollars for driver. Dress appropriately in sturdy walking shoes or boots and, depending on terrain, long pants. Guests are welcome.
